The first meeting around 34 weeks we go through: medical history a rough idea of birth preferences how you see your partner’s, caregiver’s and my involvement any concerns or fears you and your partner may have. From 37 weeks until birth I am on call. Call me if you feel like things are starting and we’ll talk about when you want me to come. I stay for the whole labor and delivery. I always try and snap after birth photos of those special first moments. One between 1-5 days after birth and one 2-3 weeks after birth. We’ll go over any questions or concerns you may have. Make sure chest/breastfeeding is going well. Check in to see how everyone is adjusting. A mental and emotional check in at this point is always one of my top priorities. I want everyone to go into this parenting journey as healthy as possible.
